Superb, but abstract. Concise, detailed and highly valuable

I really do like Martin Fowlers books. He is bright, clear, rigorous and relevant. This is his first book and most difficult to grasp book. I started reading it a few years ago and had to give up: it was too abstract for me to grasp. Now with a few more years of OO and pattern experience it shines at me in all its beauty. This book condenses so much Analysis/Architecture/Modeling knowledge that it is difficult to come up with an idea to tackle the abstraction problem. Examples might help but how many does one need. I guess far too many.Still I have a wish: Please write a new edition with UML diagrams and sample code in JAVA.Then I also do have a big wish: I want more of this topic.

Title: Compilers

Outstanding reference for C, Fortran, and Pascal compilers

During each compiler stage (lexical analysis, syntax analysis, translation, type checking, translation, code generation, and code optimization) multiple methods, strategies, and algorithms are presented. This comprehensive book examines items that are unique to the various languages presented (Fortran, C, and Pascal); there are even sections on dealing with estimation of types (10.12) and symbolic debugging of optimized code (10.13). Wow! The exercises are thorough, challenging, and thought provoking. Examples are interleaved with the discussion and algorithms. There is an excellent set of historical and bibliographic information at the end of each chapter. The use of automated tools such as lex, yacc, and compiler-generators is discussed throughout the text. This is an advanced book, however a good understanding of compilers can be obtained without understanding the details of every algorithm.

Good addition to the library

If you've worked through Dreamweaver MX2004 from the Source, and have purchased Studio MX2004, this is an excellent introduction to begin learning how best to make use of each product and make them work together. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a beginner to Dreamweaver, however.

covering almost all topics and clear explanations

I have read the book and covering almost all subjects.Explanations are very clear and all process and examples are given step by step.To tell more clearly ,especially for active directory domains, the writers used understandable graphics and writtens.Oftenly the differences between win2000 and win2003 are given as trips. You can process examples on your pc without any problems because it seems that all examples were already tested. If you are learning windows2003 by himself,it is very useful to you.
