GREAT RESOURCE

Just enough tutorial info, good enough to use as a reference ( even on many of the corners and shadows of windows). It isn't the best available for tutorials, but if you are looking at this book, you are probably advanced enough to need a book that doubles in both, but not needing too many basic references ( i.e. you should have some experience dealing with Windows in it's administrative capacities, though I was only a programmer with basic experieince at best) . If you can find the control panel and networking properties, this book is for you.
Major plus for the fact that this book is VERY readable for a computer book. Much better than the also very good, though not as encompassing and much dryer Server Administrators Companion from Microsoft.
All in all, you will not go wrong with this book. One of the best Comp books i have used. A strong four stars at worst.

Awesome!

I have only read the first few chapters of this book, but I think its fantastic. The layout and organization are very well done. Diagrams are very easy to follow and are a great help in understanding the topics. I especially love the fact that besides teaching how to develop EJBs, the authors also explains the concepts of distributed computing. Its well worth the money.

Not a good study guide

This is a decent study aid, but it has a lot of mistakes that could possibly cause you to answer incorrectly on the real exam. Another round of editing and this exam cram will be ready for prime time.

Exceptionally Well Written

This book was pretty helpful to get a Windows Server 2003 (and a 2000) cluster off the ground. This book covered everything you needed to know from Hardware to Software. To do major design work to include App Center 2000 or any other service based solution, you would have to augment this book with other material, but to just get a NLB or regular cluster up off the ground that functions and be able to troubleshoot it, this is your book.
