Title: AI Game Programming Wisdom (with CD-ROM)
Publisher: Charles River Media
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Up to date coverage of all things AI. Highly recommended.

Written in the same format as the Game Programming Gems books this book should be the first thing you buy if you're serious about AI. Well written and edited by some of today's most knowledgable AI programmers the topics covered include path planning, race AI, team tactics, finite state machines, scripting etc. The path planning section of the book alone is priceless. I did feel there may have been a little overlap with some of the AI sections in the Game Programming Gems books and one or two pearls of wisdom could have been expanded upon but other than that it was hard to fault the book. Therefore, get it! Read it! Treasure it!

Blogging by Biz - It's Great!

As a web technology professional I can't believe I didn't get into blogging sooner. Biz's book brought me up to speed in a weekend. Chapter 2, Quick Start to Creating Your First Blog is a simple, step-by-step introduction to creating a blog at blog*spot and I was up and running in about fifteen minutes. My next project is going to be adding a Bloglet (automatically emails new posts to subscribers). There is one disadvantage to buying this book: you might start over-blogging, it's too easy to update your page once you're all set up. Oh yeah, and the interview with Wil Wheaton is funny. If I lost my copy, I'd buy this book again.

Great book

I really liked this book. It tells you how the server works internally and that's essential if your going to build robust systems with it. I keep this book close at hand at all times - its that valuable. I rank it right up there with Hendersons' Guru's Guide book.

book for the exam, this is (as Yoda says)

I'm an experienced Java programmer. I passed the SCJP(310-035) with 98% (answered 60/61) recently. This is *THE* book. Everything is very well explained, gets you hooked on like a novel. The mock exams were very similar to the real one I faced. I recommend this book to any experienced Java programmer planning to take up the exam.
