Excellent for test prep and real life

Best coverage of W2K3 material I've read and I've read at least 5 other books, some very good in their own right. Best introduction coverage of each topic, best detailed discussion, best "real-life" scenarios (that often map to test questions), and good practices. It's a big book, but for the material it is covering, I could not find a better book.

Must buy for human computer engineers

This book gives concrete data on the "how-to" of usability engineering and realistic data regarding the *selling process* of these concepts to management. Additionally, it can function as a "how-to" handbook with its many examples. To name a few, the examples include: pre-evaluation, evaluation and post-evaluation questionnaries, data collection sheets and data analysis and report sheets.
The book has a fantastic index for quick reference and is organized well.

Excellent Tutorial

Herbert Schildt is my C,C++ and Java Man. I rely on James Jaworski and Danny Goodman for JavaScript. Elizabeth Castro for HTML 4. If your're like me and and want clear authorative authors good at teaching programming instead of trying to tickle your funny bone , add Randal L. Schwartz and Learning Perl to your shopping cart. In only a couple of weeks I was able to go from zero Perl know-how to being able to create a full blown CGI script with this book.
