No longer a mere mortal

SQL can be a threatening language for a beginner. Hernandez and Viescas's book provides an easy way to decipher and understand SQL. In particular, their method of converting real life questions into SQL queries is extremely useful and practical. The accompanying CD is extremely helpful. I highly recommend it for those who may be new to the subject and need a good introduction to the subject.

WOW- What A Difference !!!

This Book Has made a huge difference in my photography. The sharpening information alone is worth the price of the book. Furthermore, Scott Kelby's information on working with layers, Removing hot spots, and the red eye removal are wonderful!

I constantly use this book along with the Author's "Photoshop CS Down and Dirty Tricks". I give these books credit for a lot of my Photo sales.

Title: LightWave 3D 8: 1001 Tips & Tricks
Publisher: Wordware Publishing, Inc.
Authors: Wes
Rating: 5/5

This is 'THE' Must have book for Lightwave

Understand that this book is not a book full of tutorials. Even though there certainly are some in there... The 'spinning light trick' is a good example of a 'trick' that no Lightwave user should be without. The book does sort of, double and triple up on some of it's tricks... however... seeing how individual Lightwave Artist do one thing is a great way to fully understanding better ways to put the program to work for you... there are working methods and techniques that the manual will not teach you and you would be hard put to find else where... This book truely is a collection of Professional 'ways and means' that the Lightwave user can apply to his own methods and come off the better for it... This is the all around 'must' have book for all Lightwavers...

Great Book!

I saw Jesse James Garrett speak in Portland and had been waiting for his book ever since. It belongs on the shelf next to Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think". It is very well written, clear and concise and worth every penny. If you want to understand the basics of user centered design this is the book for you.
