Great Book

I enjoyed this book. It has been very helpful in leveraging Access in my work. I learned to do new things with Access that I hadn't learned before. My only request is that there had been a couple more examples so I could learn more. Other than that, this book was worth every penny.

Informative and actually INTERESTING!!!

Except for some missing hints (pg. 57-59) and some mixed up hint syntax, I found the book accurate and very enlightening. I've now used it on two from-scratch VLDB projects. Almost every page has something I was able to use to refine SQL statements & PL/SQL server-side code. For example, pg. 206, the section on MAX & MIN statements was the key to my latest project being able to process 20X the number of records we currently do. The section on learning to read tkprof output was helpful. The bibliography was also great (but is probably outdated now). Worth every penny!

A field guide needed for all RFID new implementers

This text distinguishes itself from others by its sustained attention to the potential of RFID in its market and current landscape. This book provides a reasoned hand-on and scholarly presentation of the field of RFID.

While it would be easy to criticize any introductory and field guide text for what it has left out or given slim summary, this book provides a reasonably even and well-balanced coverage of the "essentials" while retaining a relatively user-friendly size, along with specific case studies at the end. The chapters cohere well, but can stand alone: an important point for a RFID implementer who needs to pick and choose in order to fit the book into his or her RFID project of interests.
Congratulations to the authors for the job well done!
