This book is too overwhelming for beginners.

The small non-profit company I work for needed a website, and I drew the short straw for designing and maintaining it. We bought the Studio MX suite, and I hoped this book would cover everything I needed to design a simple, yet cool website.

The thing is it DOES cover EVERYTHING I needed, but it is SO overwhelming in all the details, I was pulling my hair out and wondering what I'd gotten myself into.

You really have have some experience with website design before attempting this book. I had no idea what to do, and couldn't filter out what applied to me and what didn't; I needed a little more hand-holding than this book offered. Now that I've been through the H.O.T. and Naked series of help books (which others complain of being too basic), I'm much more comfortable with this book. I'll definitely be using it as a reference as I add dynamic content to the simple website I've built.

Overall, this book is an excellent resource for intermediate or advanced users. Beginners should shop around for other books before buying this one.

Title: The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try

The only PMP study guide that you'll need

This is simply the best PMP study guide on the market. The practice questions were the most realistic. The information was presented in an easy to understand format. I also used the Rita Mulcahy book. Having passed the exam with a 180/200 correct, I can say don't use any other book but this one.

The book looks OK, but beware the supporting materials.

So far the book looks like it will do what I need it to do - get me up to speed the way I like. However, I am very disappointed that so far I can't access the source code for the book. The book keeps referring to the included CD - but there is none.
So, you go to SAMS and enter the ISBN. Problem is, they don't parse the dashes from the ISBN field and don't tell you to enter the ISBN without dashes, so you keep getting an error. When I finally figured it out and got to the book page and clicked the source material link - there was none! Ah. Now I have to type all the darn code in the book. Get it together people.

This book has the stuff

I just finished taking both Forms exams, and passed both with over 90%! It's all because of this book. Without it, I never would have known how much material was on the exams that I hadn't encountered in day-to-day use. Now I'm starting my study on the Reports exams.
An earlier review says something about missing files. The book isn't SUPPOSED to have any sample files. You build everything yourself, and that's part of what makes the information sink in so well. I wouldn't want it any other way.
All in all, this is an excellent preparation for the exams!
