Title: The Code Book: The Science of Secrecy from Ancient Egypt to Quantum Cryptography

What a great book!

This is a great and a classical work in the general interest of the computer science field. But I'm not agree with this:Which americans are the cryptology founders? all are russian, german or british, people that USA took from his native countries promoting wars and inestability over the world. Those you call americans are inmigrants. Also "americans" are people who live in America, not only in the USA, the problem is: How can we call americans if they use the term America as a property of USA?

Not for beginning programmers but who ever said it was?

This is by far the best Perl book I have ever read, I have had no other book recommended to me more highly. As with all O'Reilly books, this one beats the competitors hands-down.

Title: Cisco LAN Switching Fundamentals (Cisco Press Fundamentals Series)

Well written & good topic coverage

I was very impressed with this book. I didn't know what to expect, as the book has only been available for a short time now. However, I was able to read the entire book over the weekend, and found the book to cover all the major LAN Switching topic areas (and with more in-depth coverage than I was expecting).
This is an outstanding intermediate level book which provides thorough topic coverage while also being written in an easy to read format.
As a fellow CCIE and author, it is refreshing to find good, quality reference material being developed in the industry. This book is defintely a keeper :) :) :)
