Title: The Official eBay Bible
Publisher: Gotham
Authors: Jim "Griff" Griffith
Rating: 3/5
Customer opinion - 3 stars out of 5
Very basic. Good for beginners.

The book is very basic, along the lines of the Dummies series. There is a screenshot of everything, which makes the book long. If you are just starting out, the book is good because it is comprehensive. However, there is a high percentage of garbage in the book, such as detailed instructions on how to bookmark a page in a Web browser, and a couple chapters on how to write HTML. The book is mainly a how-to book, not a book with many advanced selling and buying tips.

After reading the top eBay books, below are my recommendations:
---Beginner with eBay and computers---
1. The Official eBay Bible

---eBay Seller---
1. Sell it on eBay
2. eBay Hacks

---Full-Time eBay Business (not for the casual seller)---
1. eBay Strategies
2. eBay Business the Smart Way

Read the back cover

No doubt the best reasonably complete guide to Excel 2000. It's well written with plenty of apposite examples and many of these are on the accompanying CD Rom.

Title: Search Engine Optimization for Dummies
Publisher: For Dummies
Authors: Peter Kent
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
An awesome Book on Search Engine Optimization!

I recently finished reading this book and found it very helpful. Peter Kent clarifies what search engines like and don't like and what you need to do to get high rankings. I'm just beginning to implement some of the suggestions and ideas from this book. I'm a non geek so if I can do it, anyone could. This is a must have book for every website owner/builder, whether they are webmasters or newbies. I just wish I had read this book before my e-commerce store was dynamically built. I could have avoided a lot of headaches for myself later on. I'm stopping my pay per click keywords (they're too costly and havn't brought me that many sales anyway) and going to get listed naturally with the help of this book!
