Could be better ...

The book was a fairly easy read, but lacked some crucial content. This was apparent when taking the actual exam. I encountered numerous questions that were not addressed in this book. Overall, this title could be used as a sole source, but I would recommend finding at least one more good reference to use. The included CD of sample questions was rather worthless.

Awesome! This isn't not for the newbie at heart

Active Server Pages was a good book! 2.0 was redundant with a few additions. Both were great reference but this book actually isn't for the hardcore developer at heart. This book doesn't bog you down with beginner stuff and is a real reference book. Even though windows 2k isn't officially released yet IIS 5.0 is pretty much set in gold! This book is awesome. I'm chomping at the bit for windows 2k release so we can officially start using all the new features that I've learned in this book! Way to go Wrox Press! Home Run!

Title: Applied Cryptography: Protocols, Algorithms, and Source Code in C, Second Edition
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: Bruce Schneier
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
THE source for information on cryptography.

If you are interested in understanding cryptography, this book should be at your side. Mr. Schneier has produced a book that speaks to beginners as well as experts. This volume includes source code for popular algorithms and is highly recommended for those who wish to be informed on the most widely used algorithms.
Only gets 4 stars because much recent information is not in the book. Hopefully the author is working on an update that will include the latest advances.(I would have given it 4.5 stars if it was possible)

A how-to primer on passing the PMP exam!

This is an excellent study guide for PMI's PMP exam. Rita focuses on what you need to know for the exam. You can cover all the material in the book in about 2-3 days depending on your project management experience and familiarity with the PMBOK. In particular, the practice tests after each chapter are invaluable. They will help you understand the thought process required for the PMP exam. Many of the questions have more than one correct answer but the trick is to pick the most correct answer. Learning how to do that is crucial to passing and obtaining a good score.

In addition to this book, I also read Kim Heldman's PMP Study Guide. I recommend that highly as well. It follows more of a text book format and is an excellent supplement to the workbook-like PMP Exam Prep.

BTW., I passed the exam with ease and a lot of credit goes to Rita and Kim's study guides.
