Title: 3D Game Engine Design : A Practical Approach to Real-Time Computer Graphics
Publisher: Morgan Kaufmann
Authors: David H. Eberly
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
an essential reference for the *mathematically* inclined

This book is a great resource for all things 3D (or at least alot of them). Be forewarned that Dr. Eberly has TWO Ph.D.'s -- one in mathematics and one in computer science, and it shows in the book. Not that education is a bad thing, but it is a fairly rigorous book in terms of requiring a modicum of mathematical savy to digest. The applicability of the subject matter to the title of the book is excellent. You definitely get exactly what you pay for with this title.
Bravo, Dr. Eberly! When is volume 2 coming out (hint, hint)?

Exploring Economical Options

First, for the purposes of this review, I am assuming that by looking at this book, you are interested in economical options for preparing for the A+ certification exams. I used this book in conjunction with the self-test software from Dali Design from which I also purchased two discounted test vouchers. I did pass both tests, but please DO NOT use this book by itself and expect to pass. I cannot guarantee that you won't, but at the price of a test, I wouldn't chance it. This book, I consider to be well-written, but the test engine that comes on a CD with the book should have been subjected to some major peer-review prior to inclusion, in my opinion. For the sheer quantity of mistakes, I have deducted two stars.

Good book

This is very interesting book in which you can find interesting information about history of programming languages, as well as most relevant consepts used for building language compilers.

The problem of this book is not in the matter that is presented in the book, but in the way it is presented. The biggest problem is in the typos and mistakes made in the text. It is strange that this 6th edition of the book contains so many typos and mistakes.

Regardless the drawbacks that are said before, I recomand this book for buying. Anyone who is interested in programmming and programming languages will surely find interesting information in this book.
