Title: Developer's Workshop to COM and ATL 3.0
Publisher: Wordware Publishing, Inc.
Authors: Andrew Troelsen
Rating: 5/5

The great book that I am looking for.

Should be a required reading for almost ATL programmers.
I love the way that author uses to write this book. First of all, the author gives a "real" problem. After that he shows how to use C++ in raw to solve that problem. Next, he points out how to use ATL to easily get the solution. Moreover, he deeply explains the code inside ATL and how to custom it. Finally, in client side, he gives examples in C++, VB ... to connect to ATL components.
With this book, I get many useful knowledge. As a result, I am waiting another books from Andrew Troelsen.

Simply The Best!

I don't want to waste your time with some long pointless review. All I need to say about this book is it's 'Simply The Best' (for a beginner), I'm a total newbie to the world of DBA, if you are also a database newbie, this book is the perfect choice to 'ease' you into this new world. It does and outstanding job of introducing the newbie to PL/SQL, it assumes nothing but teaches a ton!
I consider this book to be one of, if not the best technical book I ever purchased!

Title: The Unified Software Development Process
Publisher: Addison-Wesley Professional
Authors: Ivar Jacobson, Grady Booch, James Rumbaugh
Rating: 5/5

Solid framework for standardized software development

The arriving of UML has had a tremendous impact on the software world. With the speed of its acceptance UML has everyone talking in the same notation (if not the same language). This book takes the debate to the next logical level, which is the process of actually building complex software systems.
The Unified Process has the correct focus of building software for the users (requirements driven) in a given framework (architecture centric). It also emphasizes iterative development, which is a key success factor in today's market.
The book is well organized and extremely adept at tackling such a complex issue. By identifying artifacts, workers and workflow for every phase of software development, the book delivers actionable advice to project managers and software developers.
It is important to identify the book's focus and not confuse it with other topics, such as Business Process Reengineering and Object Reuse.
It is obvious that the Unified Process is a distillation of years of experience and should be a reference point for anyone who is trying to tackle software development

#Well to begin with ... the book covers 8 out of 10 question from the A+ exam directly or indirectly.#Remember one thing the current exam number is 220-221 and 220-222, and the book covers italot of books available are for 220-201 and 220-202(old). #The Book is written for humans who are looking to enter into IT industry not for technical nerds(ie. it is simple and funny)#The book includes a simulation of the real adaptive test. #Make sure to take the test with the book on the cdrom over and over again as it changes every time you take it.#The books gives you hardworking Mike's personal hardware experience put together with a lot of hard effort.#When you read the book make sure that you read each and every word. #Most of the questions that came were from the book, but the content was put too casually
