Great resource, but TYPOS?!?

If you want to write a script on how to find the cosine of an angle, this *isn't* your book. This is specifically geared to system administrators to make our lives significantly easier.
If you don't know anything about scripting, this is a great resource to get you started. It starts with the basics of VBScript, adds in things like WMI and WSH, and brings it all together for you to get work done.
If you already know scripting, this is a great reference book.
The most horrible thing (and what caused the 4 stars) is that there are an unacceptable number of typos in this book. Of course, if you are reading this, it's fairly easy to see these errors because the code and description don't make sense together...

Wonderful Book - You don't need a PhD in Math to read it.

This book rocks. I am new to writing graphics code and have been stumbling over rotation of matrices, Quaternions, and in general the math and symbols used. This book reviews the math and defines all the symbols used in great detail. It also gives wonderful textual and graphical examples throughout the book. This is a great book for a new graphics programmer or someone just interested in the hows not sure if it would be helpful to advanced developers.

Title: C++ Pointers and Dynamic Memory Management
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: Michael C. Daconta
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Remove thy veil and immerse yourself in the land of pointers

Pointers are by far the most important, and most difficult aspects of C/C++. Most books, however, gloss over the subject and leave the reader desiring more. Daconta understood this and addressed many of the questions in this book.
You'll get a bet understanding of the benefits and consequences of passing by reference vs. passing by value, and vis-a-vis.
Now for the gripe: This book is slightly dated, and is really just a C++ version of his original C book. Therefore, you're going to find some questionable code here and there.
