This is the one book you MUST have

Since it was published, I have used this book as the text in my graduate course in networking and telecommuncications management. This book is the perfect combination of high-level concepts, sufficient explanatory detail and access to an online site rich with additional resources, including current updates keyed to the chapters. Students from a wide variety of backgrounds, computer science, management and engineering have found this book understandable, current and easy to understand. Over the years, I have used many different texts, some very detailed, some very verbose, and most extremely expensive. None them provide me with what, in this book, I feel is the most comprehensive and forward-looking treatment of networking and telecommunications yet accomplished in a single volume

Another significant feature of the book is that its author is an internationally acclaimed author and presenter and the creator of the eLearning series. This is a magnificient multimedia course covering all of the topics in the book. The visuals are stunning and the coordination between the audio, visual and textual presentation is flawless.

The book, web site and multimedia series is very highly recommended

Be Careful

This book covers all of the Linux objectives for the CompTIA exam but all but ignores the hardware objectives. Teh Linux+ exam has many detailed hardware questions including stuff like IRQ assignments that are simply not found in this book. I passed this test using this book but I recently wrote my A+ exam. If I had not, I would not have passed with this book alone. Definately do not use this book as your only study guide.

simplifying Reference , Worth to read(with care)

I've passed the PMP. This book was really a very good reference for me to capture all ideas quickly and easily. It made the studies more simple and even easy.
It has better short-cuts ways that will save your time in the exam(ex. calculating float for a task , calculating PV , EV). This was my best resource (out of four others) for professional responsibility study and review.

It just need to be reviwed by the Author for certain areas against other references , like Risk mng. , quality mng. Also some situational questions answers was ambigous and not well fabricated.

I beleive this was my best quick resource.

I bought it with Rita Mulcahy and once I started reading it ,it encourages me to complete till the end.
