Title: Software Product Management: Managing Software Development from Idea to Product to Marketing to Sales

First Rate-Must Read

Having been in software and technology for the last 20 years at major software/technology companies, I feel somewhat qualified to write a review on a software book. I was extremely impressed with this book as it presented a first-rate look at the "real-world" side of taking a software idea all the way through sales. If you are involved in any aspect of software or technology, this book is a must read to identify ways to do your job better, and to understand the other aspects of the life-cycle and how to add value in those areas as well. A fantastick book-highly recommended.

Difficult early chapters, but full of facts.

The first two chapters are so difficult to read that I almost quit. After that it got better, but it is never an easy read due to the style of writing. He should should use shorter sentences.

Title: MPLS and VPN Architectures, Vol. 1
Publisher: Cisco Press
Authors: Ivan Pepelnjak, Jim Guichard
Rating: 5/5

What a geat book!

Ivan and Jim did a splendid job. I haven't read such a well-written book in a long time. It is perfect for not only the people who are looking for a thorough understanding of MPLS, but also the begginers who know nothing about it. All the concepts are explained in great detail, and the language is so smooth, it makes the reading an enjoyment. Since the book is mainly focused on MPLS, you will need a good understanding of how BGP works before start reading this book (such as BGP synchronization and how to get aroung it). I am sure you will like this book.

All in one reference!

I was given this book as a gift and it was invaluable. It's easy to read and provides helpful information. I especially liked the CD ROM. Among the things on the CD is a demo of Macromedia Director. Anyone going into multimedia must learn how to use Director. This demo helped me learn the software without investing $500+ in the software.
