Title: Designing Web Usability : The Practice of Simplicity
Publisher: New Riders Press
Authors: Jakob Nielsen
Rating: 2/5
Customer opinion - 2 stars out of 5
Everyone's a Critic, Especially Nielsen

The book states that "cool" sites may impress the boss, but where it counts is when a customer gives you only seconds to prove that it's worthwhile to stay.
Indeed, go to Nielsen's Web-site ... and you'll see that that the design is not going to win the Webby Award anytime soon. But to those who complain about it, ask yourselves: Why does the site useit.com get over a million more hits than I do at mine? It's the content, stupid.
(I'm a Web-designer myself, but rarely do I have the patience to wait for Flash intros to load, and decipher small text and mystery-meat graphical navigation.)
The book focuses therefore on how best to structure your content so that it is most easily accessible to your customers.

Updated version of the original

This book is the updated version of the original book. It has quite a bit more information than the first book, and should be required reading for anyone wanting to pass the CCIE written or LAB exams.

Good book for IP Telephony support engineer

This is a good book for up to date IP telephony support engineer. However, this book is a bit annoying to me when I just pick it up and read because of its high-light format is backward compare with Ciscopress traditional format. High-light should be on the main command in the example box like the rest of Ciscopress books instead of on the notes decorative lines. Beside this annoying format this is a great book.
