Reference Book

Finally there is a book that addresses advanced/state-of-the-art topics and program functionality in VBA. Most other VBA books end their discussion of object-oriented constructs and custom classes with a weak example of a collection class. This book goes way beyond into custom events, interface and implementation classes, and error handling. You're left with the feeling that you have access to all the armament VBA has to offer. Plus, there are lot's of tips & tricks for everything else, and lot's of code you need but haven't had the time to write yourself.

Great content...Great book!!

Detailed yet un-complicated, comprehensive in all subject areas, and very well laid out. This is your bible for any supply chain development, implementation or support. It fills the void that implementation manuals, technical reference manuals and user manuals leave behind. I've just read it from cover to cover and am better equipped. My personal favorites were the chapters on Advanced Supply Chain Planning and Procurement Management. The last chapter on Business Intelligence wraps the book up nicely.

Who cares about a CD?

Pros: discusses the real pitfalls in trying to keep repositories up to date.Cons: 1. This whole meta metadata terminology suffers from technojargonitis...simple words that justify return on investment are needed2. Where's the working tools or urls to sites that you might find tools? A book that neither includes a CD nor references to internet sites for further research seems out of date.

Excellent Introduction to the SEO Field

I found this book to be a very readable and helpful introduction to the field of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Peter Kent walks you through the details of how to increase your web site's traffic by improving your site's ranking in the various search engines. He also covers your pay-per-click placement options should the free alternatives not be sufficient.
This book is appropriate for geeks and non-geeks. If you don't know much about building web pages, this will help you talk to your geeks. If you do know how to write HTML, it will give you the publicity and marking information you need to turn your finely crafted pages into ones that are actually seen by the people who want them!
I recommend this book to anyone who has a web site that isn't ranked at the top of all the search engines.
