Bravo on a job well done!

This book is a great value. It covers Windows 2000 in a wholly approachable manner, and provides real world explanations that have helped me master the material and perform my job. I've perused many absolutely horrendous computer science books that contain multitudes of errors and simply terrible explanations of the subject matter. In stark contrast, this book is one of the best I've seen. It's a comprehensive tomb on Windows 2000 Server. And this author really knows how to explain technical material. His writing style, attention to detail, and accuracy, is refreshing in the current sea of so many nonsensical technical books of little value being pushed at engineers and developers today. If you want to learn Windows 2000 this book is great.

Great Ongoing Reference Book for the Beginner

I have read this book and recommended it to many people that are interested in an overview of networking. Reading some of the other reviews, I agree that this book is an effort to take something complex and make it understandable. This book accomplishes that and is not condescending about it. Other reviews that complain about missing a few details, well that is ok in an entry level book ( my first algebra book didn't cover any calculus). Buy this book to get started and when you decide to get more into networking, dive in deeper.

Great book for both novice and experienced users..

If you are using AutoCAD 2005 or LT 2005 as a beginner who needs step by step instruction or a seasoned AutoCAD user who can use a good reference manual - this book is well worth owning. It is a very thorough and clearly written book. No new or old AutoCAD feature is left unturned.

Same old professorial approach

I used this book to pass the exam recently(I have to admit that I also took a bunch of on-line mock exams). But the book is great and covers all the topics in the exam. The questions at the end of each chapter are harder than what you will get in the real exam! When I took the sample exam at the end, I failed! A lot of tricky questions. If you can pass this exam, you will definitely pass the real one!
