Title: Applied Cryptography: Protocols, Algorithms, and Source Code in C, Second Edition
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: Bruce Schneier
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Fun and informative

Crypto has intimidated me for years, mostly because its shrouded in secrecy and formulas.
Schneier makes it fun and relevant. The section on protocols is like nothing I've ever seen before. This chapter could be a worthwhile book by itself.
Schneier is humorous without being silly. He is never condescending, which is impressive, considering the incredible wealth of knowledge he presents here.

Buy it from the publisher

This is a very informative book with a lot of good tips and practices. Given the complexity of the Security+ exam, this book does a good job of covering the essentials without being just another "cram" guide that doesn't explain anything beyond how to memorize an answer.

The one downside - I would have purchased this eBook from Amazon -- until I realized that I could get it direct from Syngress for HALF the cost. Huh, what's up with that, Amazon?

Title: HTML for the World Wide Web with XHTML and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide, Fifth Edition
Publisher: Peachpit Press
Authors: Elizabeth Castro
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Liz... what can i say..

Liz Castro, as i said with her Perl & CGI on the WWW book, is one of the best web development book authors. I bought this book to give me better grasp of CSS and what it can do since I have been web designing for 3-4 years and i already know HTML. This is easy to read book with left colum for the book text and right colum for pictures of examples. She also notes whether not the html is for what broswer and version so you can design a cross-broswer compatible website. For Beginners, this is good. For refreshers, pick it up and read it from time to time. If you ride the bus to work, your be done with it in a week.

Title: Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire for Designers
Publisher: Cadcim Technologies
Authors: Sham Tickoo
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Very helpful book

I do not think that Professor Sham Tickoo is writing his own books, but I do think that he is writing his own reviews. I think that he has hired a group of inept people to write his books............
I found various command, menu errors alone with spelling errors and VERY bad grammar, "even for an Engineer". In his book, he tells the reader that you will be learning Autodesk Inventor. Give me a break. This is NOT a five star book.
