Title: The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers
Publisher: New Riders Press
Authors: Scott Kelby
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Fantastic book if you understand the purpose of it...

This book is NOT about ...- how do I scan my pictures in- how do I use photoshop and all the features in it.
This book is about...- I have some problems with my digital photos- I need to color correct- I need to sharpen the image- I need to reduce red eye- I need to fix skin tones- etc
The introduction of the book best summarizes his approach..."He does x number of seminars every year for hundreds of professional photographers, they all ask the same questions on how to fix digital photos for the customer." This book summarizes all the tips and tricks to get the job done.
I couldn't be happier with the book, it has exactly what I want in it.

Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Thorough, yet approachable introduction to 802.11b security

The authors have done an admirable job in making this complex topic approachable by readers with a basic understanding of networks. The coverage of cryptography was just enough to support the discussions on WEP cracking. I particularly enjoyed the step-by-step description of actual attacks. The overview of existing tools was also very good, though I detected a certain bias towards Microsoft solutions. Overall, this great book has earned an important place on my bookshelf. Kudos.

Looks very good but confusing

From start to finish a great book. I was very pleased with the coverage from the basics of describing the technology to very extensive code examples. Each topic was covered in exhaustive detail. I judge a technology book based on how easily a technical subject can be understood and how well the coding examples apply to help learn the concepts. This book rates 5 stars in both regards!
