Excellent CISSP prep book

Shon Harris has written an excellent CISSP prep book.
My only complaint is that she sometimes venture into areas, which are pretty, much off topic.
Other than that, a winner of a book.

All you need to pass with high mark

This is the only book I used, and it was all I needed. I looked at the online specification a couple of times, and that was it. I studied with this book a little bit every day for three weeks, and passed with a 92%. Everything is extremely helpful explanation. I wish all other technical books were written more like this one. The focus is on the exam and on helping to pass the exam. The self-test and reviews in each chapter are simply excellent. There are a lot of gotchas on the SCJP exam and this book tells you how to beware and 'watch out' for these tricky details that I would not have known about. The practice tests are not more hard than the real exam, but they are almost identical to the difficulties of the real exam. I felt very well prepared when I sat my examination. The book does not use 'terse' explanation that is technically correct but very difficult to read. Instead, it will make sure that you have understood something by explaining it in several different ways. Very useful for difficult concepts. I was hearing myself say over and again, "So THAT is how it works! Now I understand!"I strongly recommend that this is a book to have for your studies, and you do not need to do anything else except what the book tells you to do.

Very intresting!

If you are already a cryppie or other security professional, this book will not add much to your knowledge. But if you are a programmer or other systems person with a desire to familiarize yourself with the field, I can't recommend this book highly enough. A reasonably solid mathematical background is required to fully understand the algorithms, but the book is structured in such a way that you can skip most of the heavily technical stuff and still get a lot out of the read.
Because this is essentially an introductory text, generality is the name of the game. Pretty much everything is covered, but to a low, or medium at best, degree of depth. (Only DES is covered thoroughly.) However, the reference list in the back is huge, and you can use it to easily track down any more detailed information that you're after.

Excellent

This is a great book on building traffic volumes to your web site. The concepts outlined apply just as well to non ebay sites. This book is non technical and contains advice that can be easily applied. Some of the suggestions are "free" (except time, e.g. participating in forums to build traffic), others a direct cost e.g. froogle ads. This information is of value beyond ebay.

The advice on using ebay store fronts as your business web site is interesting, as is the comment an external web site may not be required / wont pay for itself. I am interested in affiliate selling, and have been experimenting, my web address is:
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze48sdz/ (even given the obscure address the site pays).

For a book geared towards driving traffic to your sight, it's a pity not to include a section (see www.cj.com or the Amazon affiliate scheme for a few ideas). Minor complaint about a great book.
