Title: Java Servlet Programming, 2nd Edition
Publisher: O'Reilly
Authors: Jason Hunter
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
A very good book for Java Servlet programming

This is one of the fine books, which I read. The other books are The C++ Programming Language by Bjorne Stroustrup, Inside COM by Dale Rogerson, Professional Style Sheets for HTML and XML by Frank Boumphrey, Inside Distributed COM by Guy Eddon and Henry Eddon and Designing Component Based Applications by Mary Kirtland.
Coming to this book: In this book authors Jason Hunter and William Crawford not only explained Servlet technology, but also they showed how to use it, in detail. This book covered a to z of developing distributed applications using HTTP(web) through Servlets.
In this book everypage is useful and worth reading including appendices.

Title: The Firebird Book: A Reference for Database Developers
Publisher: Apress
Authors: Helen Borrie
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Thorough reference

A well written and thorough reference on Firebird. The book covers everything from installation, through queries and SQL, through management and into security. Illustrations are used sparingly, and code fragments are not excessively long. I rated it four out of five because I think the layout could have been tightened up to reduce the page count and to organize it a bit more effectively.

Stryfe's Final Fantasy 7 Strategy Review

This is a great book, which will help any new gamer through the tough times of this game. I rated this book at 4 stars because there are some small things missed, and other small things are described incorrectly. But all the NEEDED information is described clear and well. There are online strategies available from other webpages, but you won't be able to get any better than the pros. Keep up the good work, Eidos Interactive. Anybody who is stuck in Final Fantasy 7, I encourage you to purchase this Strategy Guide.

Better Than Everyone Says

This is a great guide for anyone needing help in Final Fantasy VIII. I played to the end of the first disc without the guide. After I got it, the guide showed me all of the things that I had missed. This guide was very helpful near the end of the game, where I couldn't solve a couple of puzzles by myself. I wouldn't have found all of the guardian forces without the walkthrough. I didn't mind that the area maps are at the back of the book because I would know what to do without knowing exactly where to go to do it. The item lists are a big plus, especially for getting all of the items in the game. In all, this guide helped me a lot with Final Fantasy VIII.
