I'm truly in awe.

This is the first book that I've read from cover to cover in close to 7 years. I could not put it down! Read it in 2 weeks, taking notes, evaluating the way I responded to calls at my companies help desk, reviewing some of the links mentioned in the book, etc., etc.,etc. This is one book that if you read it you will have the ability to better defend and better compromise anything and anyone, but if you don't read it you will eventually regret it because there is a wealth of information that I haven't found anywhere else. There are popular web links mentioned that I was shocked to find were still valid. The detail and instruction are immaculate and if you don't read it....simply put you are a foolish morron. Headlines should read, "Mitnick does it again with a simple Mitnick Message!". Kevin, you inspire me and I wish I had your knowledge and influence.

Great book for learning Frame 7

This book provides very good explanations of features in Framemaker 7. The explanation of structured Frame was especially helpful for me, not knowing anything about it. I really liked the suggested uses for the some of the features in Framemaker7. This book has been and invaluable reference for me.

Teaches by concepts and examples

I was SO glad I bought this book to supplement our textbook for a PhotoShop 7 class last semester! The text frustrated me because it used the "Do step A, step B, step C" approach. For some of us, that approach does not make it easy to learn WHY we're doing the steps we're doing, so that we could apply the concepts in real life. In contrast, the PhotoShop 7 Bible explains the concepts, shows graphic examples of the differences between features, and shows samples of how a feature is affected by different user-selected values.
The author also does give step-by-step instructions in situations where needed, and explains what each step accomplishes.
Since I didn't have to have the computer in front of me while reading this, it was possible to redeem time spent away from the computer, for instance, in the cafeteria or a waiting room.
In short, for "concept learners" (vs. "rote learners," who like the step-by-step, low explanation approach), this was the book to buy!
