The perfect HTML book to get you started.

I have seen too many HTML guides that are page after page of straight text with few illustrations and no examples. Now these are fine if you're just interested in theory, but what if you want something to get you started coding HTML?
At the recommendation of a friend I purchased this book. Within a few weeks of using this book, I felt very comfortable coding and editing HTML WITHOUT any kind of WYSIWYG editor (Frontpage, Composer). I started creating all my HTML pages using notepad or wordpad. I figured out how to do some simple style sheets, tables, text editing, all kinds of links, images, etc.
The book is set up like this: First it's organized into chapters by topic. Each chapter contains a number of new things to learn. Each section, such as "Using Background Color (page 98)" contains a short intro paragraph (usually no more than a few sentences), step by step written instructions, tips, plus two illustrations, one of the code and one of the output of that code. The book also contains a very thorough index, color chart, html tag list, and compatibility guide.
If you want to learn the basics of HTML this book is just the thing. It will take you through the whole process from planning, through design and building your site, to publishing it.

Title: Oracle Developer Advanced Forms and Reports
Publisher: McGraw-Hill Osborne Media
Authors: Peter Koletzke, Paul Dorsey
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
A Most Necessary and Definitive Book

Every so often a single book will define the way a tool will be used by everybody for a long time. 'Developer Advanced Forms and Reports' is that kind of book.
As a longtime Oracle DBA and a long-ago SQL*Forms developer, I was called upon to create an infrastructure for Oracle-based applications development. I knew all the Forms concepts, but desperately needed as quick a jumpstart as I could get to make it all work together. This book provided that jump with detailed instructions and examples.
I really think this book will become _the_ standard methodology for Oracle Developer developers everywhere.
Congratulations - and many thanks - to Dr. Dorsey and Mr. Koletzke for a job very well done.

Kevin Mitnick Book

I'm sorry, but a book by an ex-hacker who got caught in 1981 isn't my idea of hacking educational material. Those who know Mitnick's background know exactly why he is being pushed upon us as a 'reformed' expert hacker. A 'hacker' who last practiced his criminal behavior in 1981 knows less about today's technology than an AOL user does.

Excellent

How is this?

This is a great book...I've been a professional photographer for over 30 years....and just recently moved into shooting weddings....and I wish I had read this book before I shot my first wedding.

Paul Gero covers everything in front of as well as behind the lens. From point and shoot cameras to state of the art digital SLR equipment.

Mr. Gero shows you how to photograph the day from the bride getting ready to making your final prints. Lot's of examples and hands on tutorials.
