It could have been better

I have handled most of Cisco switches from 1900 to 6500 series.
This book covers almost everything a network professional could ask for help managing Catlayst Switches. But there is a lot of blah, blah, blah in this book - it's like those bedtime stories.
If you want to save your money, better search the Cisco web site for help.
Any shortcoming of this book I found the help from Cisco web site and Cisco Catlayst LAN Switching by Rossi of McGrawHill publishing.

Book is good but

A very good reference book on the subject. It made many things more clear to me that I had been uncertain about.
The only weakness lies in Part IV: Advanced Applications, chapter Smart Pointers, and chapter on Function Objects abd Callbacks, which do not exploit their subject to the full extent. I recommend the book Andrei Alexandrescu: Modern C++ Design for more discussion on these.

Great Reference

This ia a great reference for any tags that you are unsure of how to use, if it's supported, what attributes are available. I highly reccomend it as reference material, if you're looking for anything else like how to do web design then you're in the wrong place. This is meant for the experienced HTML coder.
