Anyone Into Motion Graphics Should Buy This Book

I love this book. It is hard to believe that a book can give that much about every aspect of motion graphics design. The book is written in a very detailed and clean style, thus you do not miss anything that the book gives.Infact be an after effects user or not, anyone into motion graphics should read the book. Because it teaches mainly, how a motion graphics project can be developed both creatively and productively. Also the book teaches how you should manage-organize your motion graphics project, and I think that is the most important characteristic of this book.

What a book !

After reading it for a couple of days, I see that this books covers more ground and gets into more detail than Andre's previous "Dummies" book. Some of it is quite intersesting. It is also quite challenging, especially the math-related stuff. So I will finally give 4 stars to this book, and would recommend it to you if you want to go beyond Andre's "dummies" book.

Title: UNIX Network Programming, Volume 2: Interprocess Communications (2nd Edition)

The real power of UNIX is in communication

The real power of UNIX or any application for that matter is in interprocess communication. I found early on that to accomplish any large project would require the cooperation of interprocess communication. Now I find that simple administration skills also require knowledge of this interprocess communication.

My first foray into the field was to use semaphores to flag processes to run at the proper time. Later I needed to use pipes for a front-end in communication to SNA. Again I found IPC's could help inform and control processes that were in canned packages and not accessible any other way. The list of useful tools can go on and on. I also had to find the NT equivalent as it became popular.

UNIX is still out there in many forms and if one is to survive in the field an understanding of interprocess communications is imperative.

This is the only Intro book available to SAP R/3

This is the only intro book available on SAP R/3. The book is on the way of getting outdated. The screen shots in the book and Real life screen shots (SAP 4.6 C or D) differ a lot. From this book, one does not learn much except navigation of SAP's various modules. It also gives some basic ideas abt using SAP system. This book is aimed at the end user and not for wannabe SAP Consultant.
