Typos and not enough meat

Another masterpiece for Groth! Right after you read his A+ book, start reading this one and get ready to pass you Network+ certification exam. You have everything you need in this book.
Follow along this 800+ page wealth of knowledge, and you'll see why COMPTIA has chose David Groth to write this book. Broken down into the two sections this book covers every topic.
Make no bones about it, Groth has taken the complexity out of the picture. You now have no excuses for not obtaining the certification. About the only thing book doesn't do it take the test for you.
Included in the book is a cd with Net+ question, MCSE Study guide and links to Sybex. Combine this with two other books, Network+ Test Success and Network+ Exam notes, both from Sybex and you are on your way.

Rambling academic report

I find this book quite disappointing. Bought it based on the very positive six other reviews on this web site because I was looking for tips on how to do my very urgent e-learning portal project then.
The authors ramble a lot on how people in an online community interact with one another. The findings and recommendations were simply not clear or useful in a practical sense.
A similar book by Amy Jo Kim called "Community Building on the Web: Secret Strategies for Successful Online Communities" was much more useful to me.

Another MS Press let down

My experience with MS press has not been that great. This is the second MS press book I have bought and I've been pretty disappointed. This book just barely covers the basics of VB programming. You will need more beyond this book to truly understand VB programming. If you are new to Visual Basic I would recomend Wrox Press' Beginnning Visual Basic 6.0 by Peter Wright. It is much more thorough and goes into much more depth than this book for a similar price.
