A Thorough and Clear Introduction to C++

I think this is a wonderful book! I especiallyappreciate how thorough the book is in coveringthe many fine details of C++, and the greatclarity of the writing. Each chapter includes severalcomplete example programs, explained in detail.
The book should work well both for beginning programmersand experienced programmers just learning C++. The extensiveindex makes the book a good reference on C++, too.
Also, the book looks great! The cover, the figures, the headings, the clever ant characters ... all thesedetails make it very inviting to read.
The CD is an excellent bonus feature: it containsall of the example programs, so that you can run themimmediately on your computer as you study them.
In summary, I believe this is a book of great value.

Expensive, poorly designed but GREAT!

I just passed the exam (161 out 200). The book helped me. I read it 3 times in the last month before the exam. It is a great review tool, however I would not recommend it to beginners. Take PM courses, read and study PMBOK, read Kirzner (I never did... I can't read books over 1 inch thick!) and review all material using PMP Exam Prep. Rita - if you read this - lower the price, improve the layout (how about using both sides of the page....), remove your copyright from a footer on every page (it is so annoying) and big THANK YOU for helping me with the exam.

Title: Adobe Photoshop CS: The Art of Photographing Women

Who is this book really for??

This book would make you believe that you are going to photograph women, and they will throw Photoshop into the pot somehow. but its another rehash on how to use Photoshop to manipulate photos scanned into your computer.
Im not sure who this book is for since most professional photographers don't have to do as much manipulation of their photos as presented in the book.
Its not photography when you re-do the entire image from top to bottom!
There are better books out there that accomplish the same thing, so I would have to say "pass" on this dog.
