OCP Oracle9i Database: New Features for Administrators

While the book does an adequate job of covering the new features, there were many errors in the chapter quizzes, practice exams and on the CDROM quizzes. I wouldn't recommend buying the book if I had to do it over again. I would read the new features summary in the Oracle Documentation set and browse the checklist for the exam (from the Oracle Ed website). Overall, the best preparation I had was by attending some new features sessions at the IOUG conference in April. I passed, but probably could have passed as well without this book.

Quite disapponting....

This book can give you basic knowledge which is helpful for new VB programmer on serial port communication. However, if you are trying to find sth related to RS485 communication, you will be disappointed becasue the example is no longer suitable nowadays. Try technical notes from device manufacturer on the web is a better solution.

Got me started!

I have been trying to learn electronics but don't know whereto get started. This book has been the best tutor that I have had. From a total non-electronics background, I can understand basic electronics now as well as how to build a simple robot. So far it has been exciting! Many thanks to david for his wonderful book. Worth every cent I spent!
