Finally!

I've earned a living retouching photos for years and I continually seek out new material that will stretch my abilities. Most books are a rehash of the same old stuff for people like me. I discovered Photoshop for Right Brainers mentioned in one of Al Ward's tutorials and decided to take a look at it. FINALLY!!! A new source of inspiration! This book would probably be over the head of beginners but for those who have at least a working knowledge of Photoshop CS and how it applies to photos, this book ROCKS!!

Book is horrible

This book is a rehash of the previous version. It is full of quick tips without much substance. There are many books out there now that are much better. It seems that Rita relies on her inside information with PMI as a selling tool. Will not help you to be a project manager and is more like a boot camp full of things like study this cause it is on the test. lacks comprehension for understanding PMP principles. As a PMP I find these quick books not worthwhille

Title: Voice over IP Fundamentals
Publisher: Cisco Press
Authors: Jonathan Davidson, James Peters, Brian Gracely
Rating: 2/5
Customer opinion - 2 stars out of 5
Fragmentation is necessary because of serialization delay

This book is a must for engineers in VoIP field, though it lacks in-depth configuration guides like the CCNA & CCNP study guides do. Also it lacks recent developements on VoDSL and VoIP in HFC area. The seventh chapter on IP overview is not required as the readers are assumed to be fluent with the OSI seven layers ! Rather, I would like to see an in-depth descrption (with diagrams of course !) of the RTP protocol. Besides, the book lacks the description on the VoIP hardware equipment, like Cisco 2600, 3800, AS5300. On the whole I find this book useful but you must supplement your reading with the Cisco configuration guides found in CCO.

where is the third edition?

i am a self-taught (is there any other kind?;) web designer for Icon Medialab. this is (or was, at least) by far the best book on HTML, when it came out a year ago. edition 1 was 5-96, edition 2 was 5-97, so where is edition 3? revisions to the HTML (4), browser bugs/support issues, CSS and XML/XSL are all sorely needed! i am putting off buying other books becuase i REALLY REALLY hope O'Rielly releases a new edition of this must-have book soon!
