Clear, novel, and relevant

It's a really superb book. All the examples are clear, novel and relevant. Most importantly, they aren't the same tired examples you see in every other technical book.
The explanation of what .NET is, and how ASP.NET is structured is one of the finest examples I've ever read (and I've read quite a few over the years!)
If you need a practical guide to ASP.NET to help you build usable, powerful web sites, then this is the book to get.

Want dynamic this is the book

I am around 6 years in the multimedia business, mastering most of Adobe and Macromedia programs. For building web sites, I mostly use Dreamweaver and flash. I never build a real dynamic site. When I got the book, I was ready to use 20% to 30% from the list of contents, but actually, I did read it all. I can't describe how good it is. No meter what is your level/experience if you want to go dynamic this is the book. I had to learn at the same time to build two sites one with ASP on SQL and one with PHP on Linux system and surprise surprise it even did work. I want to thank Jeffrey for the great book.

Book Overrated

Dr.Robbins was my grad advisor. I found in this book the clearness of thoughts and lucid explanations of complex things with which she always amazed me during my work on my master thesis. I recommend everyone to use this book for, as title says, practical Unix programming.

Experience Coldfusion MX

So you want to code in Coldfusion hey? Start here. Having had no previous experience in Coldfusion, I picked up this book and was creating user login's, search interfaces, dual purpose insert and update pages in no time. This book covers it all, and a whole lot more.
Macromedia goes out of their way to anticipate "What the web can be", and Coldfusion delivers just that. This book by Ben Forta and Nate Weiss takes you step-by-step through a introduction to the Coldfusion environment, and then shows you how to unleash it's power. They instill excellent coding practices and the ultimate use of Coldfusion. Ben Forta makes it look easy, and it is. Together they have compiled an excellent manual/reference on the subject, and if you could have it delivered today, do so.
