Title: LightWave 3D 8: 1001 Tips & Tricks
Publisher: Wordware Publishing, Inc.
Authors: Wes
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Definitely a must have reference for ANY Lightwave user.

I have many of Wordware's Lightwave related books and they are all great resources. The Tips & Tricks book is the best one-stop reference for Lightwave I have ever read. There are so many great little tidbits that only industry professionals and long time hobbyists would know. This book easily brings you up to speed on all the tools and techniques that get the job done in Lightwave...whether its logos, dynamics or particles and FX. If you only buy one Lightwave book, this has to be it. Most of the tips are perfectly useful in older versions of Lightwave as well, so if you own [6] or [7] this will be just as helpful.

Title: Building the Data Warehouse (3rd Edition)
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: W. H. Inmon, W. H. Inmon
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Easy reading, great manual

Inmon's approach is obviously born out of experience and consequently displays tremendous insight into the issues of data warehousing. His "design review checklist" is intuitive and makes essential reading for DSS analysts. Nonetheless, some of his diagrams are confusing and tend to be ignored. I would recommend this book to anyone involved in data warehousing as it serves to focus on the issues involved, defines many key terms and makes easy reading.

Title: Oracle PL/SQL 101
Publisher: McGraw-Hill Osborne Media
Authors: Christopher Allen
Rating: 1/5
Customer opinion - 1 stars out of 5
If looking for PL/SQL do not buy, if looking for SQL maybe.

This book is incorrectly titled. It should read Oracle 101 SQL not PL/SQL. Simply put there are only 2 skimpy chapters on PL/SQL. If looking for PL/SQL purchase a different text and save yourself the aggravation and lost cost issues.
