Title: Active Directory Cookbook for Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000
Publisher: O'Reilly

there's actually something like this?

Having just finish migrating from Novell 5.0 to Windows 2003, I have purchased 2 other books (Windows 2003 Administrator Companion and Windows 2003 Pocketbook), neither was able to provide the amount of Active Directory details as this book.
With this book, I am able to provide answers to frequently asked questions about active directory rather then going thru my list of newsgroups and forums. Thus far, I have found this book to be extremely useful for a windows 2003 administrator, especially those who deal with Active Directory on a daily basis.

Easy to Read & Understand

I have read and found "Fast Track to MDX" to be easier to read and understand. There are many charts, diagrams, documentations and pictures to help the reader. I have tried many of the MDX statements in the book with success. The book has explained many things in a very understandable way, including Lead, Lag, Filter, IIF, Distinct Count, Count, Member Properties, Current Member, Previous Member, Syntax usage and more. Also, to my amazement, the CD included is ProClarity v5. ProClarity is a very good tool compared to other viewers and very user friendly and powerful. This book is good for both the beginner and intermediate users.

Looking for a technical book? Pick this

This is a book that I always been searching for. A good technical book. Before this, there is always books telling theories and all of that non techie things. But as as administrators/engineers/professionals, WE do don't that. A good book to learn, understand, planning, deploy and managing Linux in the network.

Title: Advanced .NET Remoting (C# Edition)
Publisher: Apress
Authors: Ingo Rammer

If you need to do some remote work, get it.

I am currently reading the third chapter of this book but feel very comfortable with the topic already.
This is a very good tutorial on the remoting subject and a must have. The advanced tag seems a bit misleading, the first six chapters are tutorials on the topic, nothing advanced. Anyone with a knowledge of .NET/C# could read and work with it.
