wonderful unix reference

I cannot understand how anyone can say anything bad about this book. It is absolutely fantastic to learn about working with the UNIX operating system. Detail, step-by-step explanations and examples of the main UNIX commands. If you need to work with UNIX, buy this book NOW! There is no better guide to help you get started in the confusing world of UNIX. I wish someone would write Oracle database books that are this easy to use and reference. Thanks to the authors!

Perfect! Ready to use solutions...

If you do not want to learn Perl in depth, but just solve every-day problems in a fast, easy and effective way, this is the book for you. The code samples are normally short and always give the answer, you looked for (or at least, a very useful hint). Very interesting are also the introductions to the main chapters.

I passed the test because of this book!!

I passed the PMP exam in March, 2001 after using this book, and the PMBOK. I followed the study guidelines exactly as laid out in the book. The test is somewhat more difficult than the tests in the book, and of course, there are the trick questions, but you will go in a lot more confident if you can study the way Rita recommends. This books points out "PMI-isms" to watch for, and that helped me a lot. I only studied about 50 hours for the exam over the course of one month. I did no other reading than this book and the PMBOK. I have been a project manager for about 6 years and I had to make sure I didn't let my real life experiences and other training I had previously cloud my thinking as I studied - another thing this books warns you about. I recommend this book very highly if you want to pass the PMP exam.

Python Programming Can be done

An awesome book! Would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to learn python. I hope to see more books by Zelle. The books structure and examples provided a great outline for a student such as myself in learning python. If you can get a chance to meet John Zelle I would encourage it as well, he is remarkable guy.
