Buy This Book - It's the only one you'll need

Really outstanding tutorial by a very good author. This book has a fun, entertaining, pedagogical but not wordy style and contains both sound advice and detailed step by step tutorials covering the fundamentals of web page authoring with DW MX. It covers with precision both the Windows and the Mac interface. After this book and some playing around you will be proficient at web content creation and ready to move on to more advanced matters like advanced use of CSS and "artistic" design. A new edition on DW MX 2004 is coming out and will probably be even better!

Wonderful book

Very nice and stimulative to read. The author has supplied a lot of valuable information, which I could not locate any where else. He has explained and analysed each and every bits of Object-Oriented techniques and how Java can accomplish those ideas. It covers almost all the features of core Java and the author has briefly explained some advanced ideas such as Distributed Computing. Really a wonderful product!

Very clear writing style

The most detailed and concise book I have ever read. I am an Engineer and have not done much with scripting, this book makes it clear and simple. You can download all the examples from the web site and modify as needed. I have used this book to write a web site my Help staff uses to pull real time reports out of AD.The script for finding stale accounts saved me weeks trying to verify and locate dead computers.A "Must" have for anyone dealing with Active Directory along with "Managing Enterprise Active Directory"This is the most valuable book I have in my libary.
Buy It, don't even think twice, you need this book!!

Author lacks understanding, too much fluff, a casual read

I purchased and read this book based on recommendations from others in the posting community here on Amazon.[com]. My good first impression of the book was quickly muddled when I realized the lack of understanding expressed in many of the subject areas presented in the book. A book with a [high] price tag should be written by an expert! As I read this book by Harris, I kept getting the impression that she simply copied and pasted information from the Web into her publishing application and left credit for her references in the sidebar. Look to the Wiley book for a text written by true experts in the field. The amount of typos and grammatical errors in the book also exceeds the acceptable level for a book in this price range. Also, (and this shouldn't influence your decision to buy this book) it is HIGHLY annoying to read a book that has all third person references expressed as "her" and "she." Harris should leave her political agenda aside when writing a book on any other subject.
