A wonderful book!

After years of buying pre-configured PC's I decided it was time to look into building my own. What I really liked about this book was it's "no-nonsense, straight to the point" approach. General information is provided for each of the hardware components as well as detailed vendor specific information. What was particularly useful was the author's "picks" at the end of each chapter, including suggestions for entry level, mid level and high end configurations. If you're looking to build or upgrade a PC this book will save you hours if not days of research - highly recommended!

Just started....

I'm a novice to Flash. Got up to chapter 6 so far and must say I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait to get further and start on my own projects. Exercises are detailed and easy to understand. Very good book. Better than the 'beginners class' I took not too long ago.

Beginning ASP Databases

If you have signed up for an ASP database class, drop it and buy this book. Kauffman has structured this book just like a class room environment. He shows you how to write the code that you will use in the work force, explains the code in detail, has you work on projects (with answers given), and then continues to build upon previous topics. This book will never have dust on it!
