Take A Look at the Second Edition of This Book

I'm the author of the PMP Study Guide and I'm thrilled to see all your reviews about how helpful my book has been! Thank you! Good news--there is a new, second edition to the PMP Study Guide that has an expanded glossary, more exam hints, more notes, and deeper explanations of some of the tougher topics. There is also a companion guide, The PMP Final Exam Review, that has four more tests with some killer questions. Getting the PMP certification is definitely worth your while but you can't pass the test without some good resources (and I think mine are some of the best). Good luck to all you future PMPs out there!

Title: Mike Meyers' Network+ Certification Passport

Very bad book....

I am head burger flipper at Mcdonalds and I am trying to change fields. I took this book hopping it would help me get my Network+ certification so I could design webpages(maybe for Mcdonalds) Boy oh boy was I wrong. I didn't understand a single thing they were talking about. I still can't make a homepage for myself. And when I went in for the test I didnt have a clue about any of it. To complex and they don't explain anything. And why in the world did they make the book so big? I mean come on does it really take three hundred pages to learn the network+ stuff? I think they could have done it in less then 100 pages if they really tried. This is book is good for nothing but a paper weight. Mike Meyers get a clue and learn about the stuff you are writing about before you write a wildly popular book on the subject.

excellent explanations along with equally good examples

I've had many questions about particular aspects of XML Schema. This book has never failed to answer my questions in an easy to understand style. Also, the examples provided for each topic are excellent!

Good Supplemental Reference for the part-time ABAP-er

I'm not a full-time ABAP programmer, SAP BW is my day job. But often, I have to pick up a particular technique in a hurry. That's why the worked-through examples are so helpful to me, and the indepth treatment of internal tables. Also valuable were the conversion & string examples. All in all, a very nice approach for my needs.
