I can't believe that Forta did it again and let me buy it

Last year I bought Macromedia Coldfusion 5 appliction Development for Ben Forta. I did like the book and I learned a lot from it. So with my order of Coldfusion MX software, I decided to order Coldfsuion MX Application Develpment for Ben Forta. I start reading and soon I am in the end of the book do you know why? because it is almust same as the first one. Even same example. There is chapters where is same on both edition word by word. Yes, there is few things new on coldfuion MX but not worth it.
My advice, if you have a book wrote by Ben Forta for Coldfusion 5 then don't buy the new one because you are buying same book but different cover. If it's your first time, then this book will be the one to start.
by the way, this is not only the mistake I did, I did buy Coldfusion MX Web Application Construction Kit, and Coldfusion MX Developer Study Guide. They are all same. in fact I did read same paragraph again, and again from different edition of Ben Forta.
I will say Ben Forta did it again and I did buy and waste my Money this time.

Title: Computer Forensics : Incident Response Essentials
Publisher: Addison-Wesley Professional
Authors: Warren G. Kruse II, Jay G. Heiser
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Easy to read and understand style applied to complex issues.

As the title indicates this text is one of the "essentials." When it comes to crimes committed with and by the computer, it is no easy task to train and relate the process. Kruse and Heiser, in clear no nonsense language have relayed the complexities of forensic examination quiet well. Computer Forensics is a fundamental guide that takes on the task of describing the process, details and intricacies including the societal and legal aspects. (a point often missed by technical writers)
This is a must read for technologists familiar with computer and network operations, but unfamiliar with computer crime issues. On the other side of the coin, a user new to this arena will benefit greatly with their start to finish approach in each chapter.
This book is perfect for a classroom environment and as a reference work.

Title: Massively Multiplayer Game Development (Game Development Series)

Mixed Bag

I have very mixed feelings about this book. While it presents a wonderfully broad discussion of MMOG development and is chalk full of ideas that you can use in development, it is at the same time often incomplete. The problem is not in the desire for the sections of the book to more deeply discuss their subject matter, but more due to the fact that the sections often fail to fully describe even what they are attempting to talk about. Included source code is fairly sparse making it difficult to discern what the authors were reaching at even when he provides UML (minus complete descriptions). At least one python project fails to work at all and there is no information for corrections on the Charles River Media web site.
So, do I recommend this book? Yes. Knowing the book as I do now, I would still have purchased it, however this may be one that you want to look through somewhat carefully at a local bookstore prior to purchasing. Expect to have to expend considerable effort when developing code based on portions of the book as you will progress along merrily based on the descriptions only to hit a roadblock in the code based on an incomplete or completely missing description of a critical portion of the topic. This book is definitely for already competent developers/designers, though you should already be prior to attempting to craft a MMOG anyway.
This book will likely float between 2 and 5 stars depending on the reader.
Best of luck to all!

Title: About Face 2.0: The Essentials of Interaction Design
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: Alan Cooper, Robert M. Reimann
Rating: 5/5

Worth ten times the purchase price

The ideas contained in this book are golden. It is irrelevant if Alan Cooper sometimes repackages and presents excellent ideas from others. I found this book to be very informative and an entertaining read. I study this text from time to time to freshen up on some of the ideas. If you are serious about developing quality software, you should read this book
