Quite good -- if only there were more examples...

This book is a great intro to vi for beginners and is an excellent desktop reference for people to keep handy. I keep it handy because I cannot always remember that obscure command that will rearrange my document with little effort.

It's all you'll need!

I passed the PHR exam on the first try with the help of this book. No study groups, no paid crash courses, no help from my neighbor, just this book! The CDs that come with this book are excellent, it includes flashcards and practice tests. Take them over and over, it represented the actual test questions well. Since I have minimal experience in this field, I am convinced that anyone can pass the PHR exam if they spend a little time snuggled up with this book.

Database Administrator

My company recently forced us to start using BusinessObjects. It seems like a really good program, but many of us do not want to learn how to use it. Before I recommended this book to our people, they would constantly bug us to help them. Now, we rarely hear from them. I decided to have a look at the book and learn some stuff myself. I am not yet an expert, but it has helped me to appreciate the product more. I would recommend this book to any developers that are being bugged by their users.

If your serious about photography you need this book!

If you are a photographer thinking about going pro. do yourself a favor and buy this book. The chapters on workflow are worth the price of the book alone. Let's face it, you can have the most expensive equipment in the world but unless you have a very meticulous workflow your just another amateur. This book will show you step by step how a professional does his workflow. Not only will you learn a great workflow but you will learn how to be more efficient using actions that he helps you create. Time is money after all, and if your anything like me you will find that this book paid for itself in the first 30 minutes of reading. If you own many of Scott Kelby's books as I do, your going to feel right at home with Kevin's book. It fills in the missing spaces that Scott's books leave out. This book "is" the missing link!
