Title: Macromedia ColdFusion MX: Training from the Source
Publisher: Macromedia Press
Authors: Kevin Schmidt
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
An advanced book for an advanced application

Warning! If you are not familiar with OOP coding, or have weak HTML skills, do not start with this book.
That said, as usual, Macromedia has produced a book that opens doors to tools making one of their already awesome programs even better!!
I will let others go through describing chapter by chapter what makes this book so helpful. I did want to be sure to warn off anyone looking for a beginning book on ColdFusion. If that is what you need, starting with Dreamweaver MX: Training from the Source or The Web Application Contruction Kit (Fourth Edition) is very thorough. ColdFusion MX: Training from the Source will make much more sense once you understand how and why it works the way it does.

A solid and a eye opening book from a great group!

When you are purchasing any can of material you must do your research on the product. Well I did and it has paid off!You well not find a better book when your pursuing your Security+certification! This book not only gets you going in the right direction, but the authors have also included links if you want to delve deeper into the particular subject they are addressing.(I mean they did their research!)The software they also include in my opinion is just simply one product you just cannot do without!
There are just too many kudos to list!

Title: FrontPage 2000 for Dummies
Publisher: For Dummies
Authors: Asha Dornfest
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Serves it's purpose just fine

I now approach the Dummies titles for what they are - clean, simple introductions to software, etc. I have no problem with Dornfest's approach. She is, perhaps, a bit restricted by the massive amount of information that is out there - and consequently, she refers the reader to certain websites for further training. If she didn't, the book would start to resemble one of those "bibles" that nobody reads but only refers to as a reference manual. Perhaps there are better introductions to FrontPage 2000 out there, but this is a fair start. Almost always better than the manuals that are enclosed from the developer. Why is that?
