No experience and Passed both test!

After a very bad review from a friend who bought another book(which also has very bad reviews here) I decided to by a different book. With the Dummies book I passed both test(which i took on the same day)! I have no experience other than putting my own pc together and working with it. This book does have a few errors doesn't cover multimeters well enough to answer the questions that come up on the test. Bank on at least 2 questions on that. I passed both with 76%, while not high I did not cram as much as I really wanted to! On to MSCE, I know that will be much tougher! Good Luck

Rating: 4/5

Terse, but good

This book does just what it proposes, and no more - provides a clear, clean, readable explanation of the DBI module in perl, along with a collection of handy notes for most of the popular DBD driver modules. Not a book for learning SQL, not a book for learning perl, but perfect for learning DBI/DBD and some handy techniques for optimizing db access in perl!

Simply put---Excellent!

While it does enable a beginner to get started in Windows98 it is hopelessly incomplete. It affords very little help when you run into trouble and is very poorly indexed. One could do with a little less cutesy language and a little more substance.

Project Managing E-Learning

This book gets five stars for providing e-learning leaders a first class project management guide. Bill uses his years of IT project management experience to provide readers with solid skills and know-how to better manage risk, deadlines, roles, client satisfaction, and learning. As a project manager of both corporate and academic e-learning, I see the need for a commitment to this discipline on a daily basis..... My favorite chapter is number 10. In this chapter he details what to document in advance in a Statement of Work. This book is worth twice the price if it helps your next project be more successful! Jon Aleckson, CEO,...
