The Perfect way to start learning COM

A very easy and useful book. The book doesn't use complex C++ or compiler specific features or MFC. You need to know only about classes and a little knowledge of Win32 programming. It also explains the COM concept and how it can be used for operating systems other than Windows. I liked chapter where the author showed in few steps how to create a remote COM object running on different machine using DCOM. This book is essential if you want to learn COM

Good book to start configuring SAP-SD.

This book is a good start for someone who wants to use SAP-SD module.
It is good for implementing SD, but lacks issues relating to specific issues (like warehousing, bar coding interfaces).
Otherwise it is a good reference book for both consultants and end-users alike.

A must have Windows 2000 Server reference

If you're running, or planning to run, a Windows 2000 Server network, buy this book. I took several classes on Windows 2000 to bring myself up to speed for a migration this summer. I walked away from the classes in a daze, still confused about active directory, group policies, and remote installation. This book filled the gaps and more. I actually read it from cover-to-cover like a novel, and enjoyed it. This book covers the ins and outs of what you'll be working with in Windows 2000 Server for 90% of the time. It was light on areas such as profiles and AD schema, but those are topics that could fill seperate books.
Buy this book first, and read it. Then, if you need more specific information on a certain topic, buy a book devoted to that topic.

Very good book, informative. Well-paced. I had MYSQL setup in no time using this, and was performing mid-level queries with no problems. Will definately recommend to friends.
