Just wonderful

Extremely concise, well written, this books gives you only a narrow view of the page design processes and problematics, it lacks of an high level approach (bottom-down). I would expect more and more from that kind of book, only Black&White examples are reductive when approaching visual design arguments. This book would have been better catalogued in a "Best Pratices" series. The cost is appropriate.

CD full of PM Forms/Document Templates Never Seen Before !

I have a big gripe with Dummies books. They never seem to give you exactly what you need. Sure, the table of contents seems thorough, but once you start reading, it feels like you're missing a lot.
This book is no different. Although the included CD comes with some useful templates, the book's content reflects mostly non-standard practices of the author. I was quite alarmed in how little it discusses UML and Object Oriented development. These are the standards of today's projects, and the author seems to provide little attention to how important it is to adhere to standards in projects.
One of the biggest reasons why projects fail if due to a lack of standards involved in the project lifecycle. I recommend this book to give you a basic understanding of what's involved in project management, but I suggest following up with a book that adheres to strict standards. Standards make you marketable when it comes to changing jobs or getting projects approved. The methodology in this book is purely the method of the author.

Excellent resource for all programmers and students

I ordered and used this textbook for four classes on Quality Assurance in the John Abbott College Programmers' course in the Montreal area between 1997 and 1998 and all of us -- students and myself as teacher -- appreciated its excellent coverage of the field and practical orientation. -- M. Outstanding!!!

I have been playing the Fianl Fantsy series and using the guides since day one and I believe this is one of the most thorough and detailed guides written. The added illustrations are great and the clues the book gives are well timed. Great job!!!
