Excellent SQL Beginners book

I read this book in a few days and have a good understanding of SQL. The examples are plenty and clear. I used Access 97'. There were a couple of examples that did not work in Access. But overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting an working intro to SQL.

Excellent introduction to SQL and PL/SQL

This book does a great job of showing the reader how to write excellent SQL and PL/SQL code.
The prior couple of reviews here complain that the book doesn't go far enough into PL/SQL. Well duh! It's a 101 book! It's an introduction for beginners...don't expect it to cover the same material as an advanced PL/SQL book! It starts earlier and ends earlier...which makes it perfect for beginners, and for people who know other languages and want to learn more about SQL and PL/SQL.
Overall, an excellent effort that delivers just what it promises.

Title: QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter
Publisher: Princeton University Press
Authors: Richard Phillips Feynman
Rating: 5/5

genuis, pure genuis

Feynman's version of QED (which he helped develop) is the most clever and lucid way of explaining QED phenomena. I can't praise this book enought. Feynman is reknowned for his lectures and he does not disappoint here. it may take a few readings to get it all but it is worth it.

This book knows your needs

I needed a book on understanding SPSS. I started without any knowledge of SPSS and I wanted something concise and easy to comprehend. One of the main features of this book is the "?" you will find in between paragraphs. It answers the queries and questions that a beginner would usually ask and the best thing is you don't need to search hard enough! This was the main reason why I got the book. I have looked through a couple of other books on SPSS. Sometimes they are too brief and do not have answers to my questions, some are simply too wordy - wasting too much of my time to search for the answers. If you need something that could guide your understand and apply it straight to your research work, this is one good book for you!
