Practical, useful, and not theoretical

At the end of the day no one in the commercial world (i.e., in the real world ) is going to pay you for your theoretical knowledge of database design (unless, of course, you are on the development team at Oracle or Microsoft). This book imparts the fundamental knowledge of DB design whether you're using Access or Oracle and is the ideal complement to the theory laden books by C.J. Date and others.

Not quite enough...

I looked at this exam cram after I took my CCIE written and it did not cover questions that I had. I specifically looked for LOTS of questions that I saw on the exam and they just weren't in the exam cram. I saw a couple of mistakes (example, picture of RSRB has mismatching ring numbers). I think it's good to get an overview but it doesn't go deep enough to pass the exam. You definatly need other sources. I'm a firm believer that for the CCIE written, there's no 'easy' way to study and you won't find all the information you need in one book.

New Features in PowerPoint 2003....

Wow, I just started using the new Microsoft Office System (2003), and it is really cool! It's awesome for collaboration, and its applications are far more integrated than with previous versions. PowerPoint is one of the apps that has been improved. With the new Research task pane, I'm now able to find info and include it in my presentation quicker and easier than before. Plus, the Package for CD aspect now lets me put all my presentation files directly onto CD to distribute. This book was the reason I found the new features in PowerPoint 2003 and how to maximize them.
